FMF: Are you invoking some sort of "human right" not to have one's feelings hurt?

generalissimo: obviously you never heard of hate crime legislation.

FMF: Palin's a victim of "Hate crime"?

generalissimo: now thats an amaz ...[text shortened]... d know it and I didn't twist your words and now you're bluffing. One or the other.
The concept of "hate crimes" is about motive and selection of victim. It has nothing to do with sensitivity and with having your feelings hurt. Either (a) you didn't know that and now you're bluffing or (b) you did know it and I didn't twist your words and now you're bluffing. One or the other.

My post was a reply to your post about the "human right not to have one's feelings hurt". For some reason you came up with the ridiculous idea that my post was about palin, it wasn't, I was talking about her child who happens to be mentally challenged. if you go around calling people "retards" in that context you could get in trouble, since you're verbally abusing someone because of their disability.

What has your mysterious notion of "hate crimes legislation" got to do with people feeling they are 'entitled not to be offended' and with Palin's child? Why have you raised the issue of "hate crimes"? What does it have to do with Palin and her child?

there's nothing "mysterious" about it, but if you're just incapable of understanding what I wrote there's no point in me explaining it to you.
